Love Expo:So much more than simply stand design and build

1. Stand Design with Focal Points

The centre piece of this exhibition build is a stunning 4-meter-high back wall within the 6m x 4.5m space. This wall includes 3d cut lettering for the James Cropper logo, as well as back illuminated lettering to accentuate the company’s mission statement, making the brand message instantly visible to visitors. Additionally, a backlit graphic area on a bridging structure displays essential information related to an oversized model featured on an illuminated base, creating a further focal point for visitors.

2. Recreating a Feature Model: Pem Electrolyser

Having discussed the key objectives of the show with the client, Love Expo came up with the idea of creating a large model of an pem electrolyser, a product which incorporates specialist materials manufactured by the client. The model was produced as an exploded view with each of the clients materials mounted onto pieces of laser cut clear acrylic to give the impression that the parts are floating and in alignment as they would appear on the real product. This model would then become the focal point of the stand further enhanced by sitting it on an illuminated base it at the front of the stand, near the main aisle.

We considered 3d printing certain elements of the model, but this did not prove financially viable so our production team utilised their creativity to draw the parts and source suitable materials in order to CAD cut these parts. These were then bonded together to replicate enlarged bolts and washers and clear tubing was sourced to the exact required diameter. We used laser etching on some of the metal parts to create a specific surface pattern that would be visible in the real component.

3. Custom Made Display Wall

The client also requested that we incorporate three material sample rolls into an information wall, allowing the client to cut off samples for visitors. To achieve this, we cut apertures into the display panel to enable the sample cores to fit. Tubing was put through the cores to allow the rolls to dispense the material. The result was a functional, stylish solution that met the client’s needs and enhanced visitor interaction.

Building stands in Europe

This project marked our first build in Hamburg, and thanks as always to careful planning and logistics, it was a success. At Love Expo, we manage exhibition builds across Europe, handling every aspect of shipping and logistics, including ATA Carnet documents for the temporary export of goods from the UK to Europe.

In terms of maximising sustainability the reusable framework, graphics and all lighting and tools to build the stand were transported in our custom made reusable transportation crates, packed with precision.
